![]() Bangwu Zhang, MD (China) Dr. Zhang brings decades of experience and expertise to the clinical practice of tui na. He received his medical doctor degree from Nantong Medical College in Jiangsu, China, graduating in 1964. After practicing Western medicine in China for many years, Dr. Zhang completed his training in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Nanjing Traditional Chinese Medicine University in 1969, where he specialized in tuina. Dr. Zhang faithfully practices qigong every day. His energy and vitality are testament to his daily qigong practice. Dr. Zhang came to the United States in 2003. He is a friendly, vigorous, enthusiastic man who is passionate about the clinical practice of tuina and his desire to help patients feel better. He is exceptionally skilled at treating individuals with various musculoskeletal syndromes (sciatica, injured and/or aching back, neck, shoulders, hips, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, etc.). His patients include athletes, martial artists, weekend warriors, individuals with repetitive motion syndromes, gamers, and anyone who regularly hunches over a computer workstation. In as much as tui na is a traditional Chinese medical modality whereby the practitioner establishes a treatment plan and treatment goals, Dr. Zhang will typically recommend a series of treatments in order for a patient to obtain maximum improvement.
