| Deep tissue massage focuses on the deeper layer of muscles tissue, oxygenating muscle tissue to eliminate toxins and relieve inflammation.
Deep tissue massage also helps to release adhesions and restricted fascia (pronounced "fasha"), a sheet or band of fibrous connective tissue enveloping, separating, or binding together muscles, organs, and other soft structures of the body. Clients are typically instructed to drink plenty of water for a couple of days following the massage to help eliminate the released toxins.
All of the therapists at HealthPoint are experienced in deep tissue technique.
