John started HealthPoint Oriental Medicine after completion of his academic training and clinical practicum in traditional Chinese medicine, and after having earned his Masters degree from the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He has maintained an interest in Eastern healing arts for many years.

John holds also holds a Masters of Science degree in health services administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. He has an extensive background in health care finance and administration and prior to starting HealthPoint worked for many years at various executive level positions in managed health care in the Twin Cities. He continues to lecture and write about Western health systems as well as Oriental medicine.
