Pricing, Payment and Insurance

We provide quality health care services at competitive, fair pricing. In fact, the cost of Oriental medicine is often less than the true cost of conventional treatment and pharmaceuticals.

Health Plan Network Affiliations

HealthPoint is an In-Network Participating Clinic for:

HealthPoint is an in-network participating provider for HealthPartners, Medica, Cigna, and PreferredOne. This includes members enrolled under commercial coverages(e.g., fully-insured, self-insured, PPO, etc.), as well as government programs coverages such as Medicare, Medicaid, GAMC, PMAP, and MnCare coverages, as well as other coverages.

A physician referral or prior authorization is generally not necessary to begin treatment at HealthPoint.

We typically verify coverage with your health plan prior to initiating treatment. HealthPoint handles all paper work related to the care you receive at our clinic. We have years of experience as well as expertise in matters of health insurance; please do not hesitate to ask for assistance.

MEDICARE Coverage

If your health care coverage is through Medicare, check with us! You very well may have acupuncture benefits. We can assist you in determining Medicare coverage eligibility. And don't worry about paperwork; we'll handle everything for you.

Other Insurance Coverage and Payment Options

HealthPoint is a provider under Minnesota workers compensation. No paper-work is required of you; we submit claims on your behalf.

In addition, a number of health plans and auto insurers now cover acupuncture for injury and/or pain syndromes and other health conditions. We encourage you to check your specific coverage, or call us and we will help verify coverage.

Individuals with health spending accounts or flex-spending accounts (either in addition to or in lieu of employer sponsored health care coverage) can use pre-tax dollars to pay for acupuncture, oriental medicine, and body work. Acupuncture services at HealthPoint are also covered under flex-spending accounts and health savings accounts (HSAs).

At your request, we will speak directly with your insurance carrier to clarify your coverage and we will provide all necessary information to submit to your insurance plan or your account administrator.

Our experienced staff is happy to assist with questions regarding insurance. Please have your insurance card and/or coverage information at hand when you contact us, or bring it to your first appointment.

Important Reminders

While we do our best to obtain prior authorization (where necessary) before treatment begins and verify your insurance benefits, you are ultimately responsible to obtain any necessary prior authorization and/or for final payment on your account. Therefore, it is in your best interest for you to verify your coverage. Please remember that your health plan or insurance company makes final determination of coverage levels at the time claims are actually processed.

Please be aware that your insurance coverage may have an annual deductible amount that must be satisfied before your coverage benefits apply. Also note that any copayment or coinsurance amount for which you may be responsible is due at the time of service.

Again, we are happy to assist you with any of your insurance/coverage related questions.

For private pay patients, full payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made.

For uninsured patients (or those whose coverage does not include acupuncture), HealthPoint offers various payment plan options. Please contact us to inquire.
